Another Arsenal injury blow!

Arsenal have confirmed that centre back, Thomas Vermaelen, has had an operation on his left ankle and is expected to be back in training within a month. The 25 year old defender sustained this injury during Arsenals UEFA Champions League qualifier against Italians Udinese. He missed out eight months of last season due to an achilles problem in his right ankle. This has just proved to be another annoying blow for Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, as the club have been hit with many injury problems causing less first team players to help carry the side as they look for their first win in this seasons premier league campaign.

Especially with the loss of arguably two of the best midfielders in football in Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas who were sold to Manchester City and Barcelona. Their has only been three matches played in the 2011/2012 season and Arsenal are already showing signs of going a 7th season without any silverware, However I'm sure the Emirates faithful have been patiently waiting to see how deadline day signings Arteta, Mertsacker and Benayoun perform for the Gunners. With this new experience in the squad, the Arsenal future seems to have a few sparks and can hopefully show signs of the beautiful 'Arsenal football' which we are so used to witnessing.
